Shenanigans I say... and at $1000.00? You couldn't pay me to use this! I understand it isn't really meant to be used, but then there isn't any point really, is there? Why collect something this useless? I'd rather have a $20 knife and $980.00 to spend on other gear or knives to use.

It might make a good desk knife. :p
The big problem would be finding the right tool ... "I know it's here somewhere!"

When I first saw this picture I thought it was a joke. It HAD to be photoshopped. Nope. I'm still in awe of its utter CLUTTER.

That's a great name for it: The Victorinox Utter Clutter Cutter,
the ultimate Swiss Army Knifeifeifeifeifeifeifeifeifeifeifeifeifeife ... ife. :D

Obvious;l made for only two reasons: (a) Gather attention to the manufacturing company as pix of it circulates; and (b) Go for the Guinness Book of Records.

It's just a collectors piece, obviously not meant to be used. It contains every bit that Wenger has ever used on a knife, all in one.

Perhaps it is the woods tool of an alien with extra extra large appendages, each of which has 14 digits. Or is a survival tool AND the alarm/keyless entry system for an alien spacecraft? We will never know.

"In the days of the great exhibitions. Knives such as these were made as an example of the cutlers art"
That is a direct quote from an article in Blade magazine from the early '80's if my memory serves me right.

..So who is doing the all-inclusive review?? Not sure it'll fit on youtube. 'Utter Clutter Cutter' is right! I might be an idiot, but I don't even understand how I'd handle much of any task, short of taking the medium to it. Think an April Fool's joke slipped into the patent office? Ha!

I like that knife. If I were in a higher income tax bracket, I'd pick one up. I got to check one of those things out in Switzerland, and it was really cool. Very expensive, and useless, but interesting!

You mean that thing is real!!!!!!!! LMFAO!!!!!

It was funny enough as a web image. The thought of it being real makes it that much more funny.

Thanks:D:thumbup:

Collecting will always be collecting. Useful or not. How useful is collecting art (unless as an investment) or old comic books or stamps. It fulfils some needs although not the most basic ones.

There is good evidence that even before humans had become H.sapiens we were into decorative arts, probably including body art and ritual mutilation (like piercing).

Early H.sapiens in Europe did more than just cave painting. We also decorated clothing with beadwork.
