So today when i was at [EDITED] i went to the hunting section and was looking for a cheap value knife that i can use to carry at my job (dont want me carrying endura they want it to be around 3 inches no bigger) And i have a gerber fast draw but i get looks when it snaps open in public, so i was looking and on the bottom shelf i saw a buck batam blw and im like hm that looks nice, 3 inch blade night weight 2.4 ounces decent steel bucks 420 hc has always served me well on my 110, and a nice all black frn handle with a decent looking black clip. Then i saw the price and had to get it, was only 14$

I took it out the box when i got home and have 1 complaint and 1 kinda dislike.

Complaint, it is stiff to open and close, but my 110 was when i got it and it worked its way looser so im not worried (just a work knife so it dont matter)

1 minor dislike, pin construction no torx for pivit or handle but the 110 doesnt have torx either and that holds up just well so its not biggie, worst comes to worse ill have to get anther if this 1 gets all loose, i mean for 14 bucks how can you beat it?

So for all you guys out there looking for a good cheap edc value i 100% suggest the buck batam blw. (also the gerber fast draw if the spring assist is okay for you)

I don't know why, but I cringe when people buy knives from any of the "mart" stores. They've done more to ruin the reputation and quality of formerly decent knifemakers than any other company out there in my experience. Apparently the way they purchase forces knife companies to lower their quality to a level where they're either giving their merchandise away for next to no profit, or they're making substandard quality junk in order to stay in business and pay for the stuff they needed to purchase in order to comply with the demands placed on them by these stores.
