When I first saw the ASH-1 satin finish blades, I fell in love with them, unfortunately I didn't have the funds to get one, but I did however score a cerakoted Fat ASH in a Ganzaa a few years ago. This year I decided I would finally have my satin ASH, so I sent my blade to Josh at Razor Edge Knives and this is the before and after. I love it, it's razor sharp, and the price was reasonable for as much work as he did on it. I highly recommend him for anyone looking to make the best knives just a little better!

Nothing like INFI satin'ed out to around 400 grit <give or take a grade>...

Not only does it look great, but it's supremely easy to restore the finish on your own after use with a soft sanding block and sandpaper-- that is, if "beauty marks" offend you.

We're so fortunate to have a wealth of skilled aftermarket craftsmen here on Busse! Thanks for the great pics!!!:D:thumbsup:

Wow that looks awesome !!!!

I remember that ganza :-) it was a good one. You were on the money scoring that one :-) congrats all around

Nice ASH !!! I will message you the delivery details so you may send it home... ;) :D

How thick does it remain at the spine ? Looks like it will cut !!

I recently sent an ASHBM to Josh to get extensive work done on it, such as adding a clip point, regrinding, satinizing, etc.

Of course that's what it took to get Jerry to offer an official Mistress with a clip point, but that's another story...:rolleyes:

Anyway... can't wait to see what my REK'd ASHBM comes out like, and this thread just made it even harder!

just kidding...;):p

we feel your pain!

plus >>> I'm betting the FM will be different enough to warrant buying one of those also-- that's a good thing.....right?:confused:o_O:eek:

I’ll grab a set of dial calipers and measure it tomorrow, it still fits in the mashed Cat sheath I have for it without any wiggle though

Yeah, they will be quite different. Straight handle vs. fusion handle, CBT vs FFG, different lengths, etc. I've got room in my house for both, don't worry about that. ;)
