I'm a former lurker, who finally got up the nerve to join. But anyways...
I was wondering how good the amazon.com selling is reguarding knives and multitools. Have you gotten good deals or would i be better looking around on my own? Also, do they make an adult sign for the package when it arrives? Thanks!

Welcome to Bladeforums! :)

I didn't even know Amazon sold knives and multitools. I wouldn't expect them to know as much about the available product lines as well as dedicated knife dealers.

I don't generally see many of the best knives even in the military/paramilitary/hunting catalogs.

As far as an adult signature, that's up to you, your family, and your local laws, as much as to the mailer.

I got my leatherman Squirt through amazon. I don't know if amazon itself actually sells that kind of stuff, but for the most part at least, it's various vendors selling through amazon. Do a search for a SAK or Leatherman, and you might find several prices for the same item, since each is a different vendor.

Personally, I'd rather just order something directly through a vendor, rather than with amazon as a middleman. It might be cheaper that way, and it's easier to without an interlocutor. Selling through amazon simply gives these vendors more exposure to the masses. Check the "Good, Bad, and Ugly" forum (in the Knife Exchange forum) for reputations of specific dealers.
