Amazon Got One Wrong

While I've ordered many knives from BF sponsors, occasionally I will buy one from the website that is named after a large river. In probably 12 years, I've never had a problem.

Recently I ordered a C41PBK5, the Native 5. I received what I think was a C41PBK. It had pinned construction, S30VN, it wasn't FFG, and the pocket clip was black. I knew right away. The funny thing is, the box was correct, with the correct model number.

Returns are easy, but I wanted to share this experience because if I hadn't been up on the differences, I might have thought, "Hey, nice Native!" As it is, I am returning it for the proper model. I don't think the earlier model is quite as nice for the price.

What do you think?

Someone might have simply bought the Native 5, put their other Native in the box and returned it, keeping the original.

Either way, I'd still return it and get the knife you paid for. :)

Stuff happens. But fortunately, Amazon's customer service is first rate. It is my go-to vendor when I'm looking for a knife, or pretty much anything else for that matter.

The river store has become less and less reliable over the years.

From a website that shows the same movies as Netflix and plays the same music as Itunes, would selling low quality goods like the dollar store or Wally world be that much of a surprise?

Just don't do too many returns or they'll terminate your account.

It's that bad to you huh?

Amazon's services has been first rate for me through the years. I know that the bigger a company, the bigger the hate but I can't say that for myself in this case. And the few times that there was a problem, I simply exchanged/returned it postage paid with them sending the refund or replacement BEFORE I sent it back.

Yeah, I have been also very very happy with Amazon. Rarely, rarely there an issue like this, and it's usually resolved without much drama.

I ordered a Pacific Salt from Amazon ($69) and TWICE they sent me a combo edge Tenacious ($45)

That was my first, and last, Amazon Prime purchase.
Got a refund and ordered the Salt from BladeHQ :)
