Glad you like your Kiwi Clydetz, they are one of my favorite Spydercos. While I too look forward to the Kopa, I suspect that it will be a tad smaller than the size range you desire.
On the other hand, I would suggest that if you like the Kiwi, you take a serious look at the Schempp Persian. Yes, I know, the blade shape is the polar opposite of a wharncliffe but the two knives do share similar steel, "traditional" bolster and scale construction, and excellent fit and finish. To my way of thinking, the two widely dissimilar blade shapes have the benefit of complimenting each other rather than competing for use.
Need to trim a loose thread, open and envelope, peel an apple, cut an article out of the newspaper, or sharpen a pencil; easy decision, grab for the Kiwi. Need to hack down some vines or branches, split kindling, share a large sub with a friend, halve a grapefruit, field dress a deer, or be the guy being tried by twelve rather than carried by six; then the Persian is the tool of choice.
I love 'em both, as much for their differences as for their similarities, and the fact that they give me a reasonable excuse to carry them together. In fact, I am seriously considering getting someone to "dress up" a Persian up for me, hardest part is deciding whether to go for stag, which would look drop dead gorgeous on it and make a great companion piece for one of the stag "AGR Special" Kiwis that Sal says are "possible", or amber jigged bone to pair up with the jigged bone Kiwi I already have.
