Here's one J had at the show in Little Rock a couple of weeks ago.He had me scratching my head on what to do for a sheath for this one,as this is the first shiny knife he has sent me for a sheath, but I think I managed to pull it off.The sheath is a center seam mexican loop version,in rawhide of course, and has deerskin rolls along the edges of both loops. The only other decoration is a concho and a few spots.I'll let J chime in with specs on the knife.

John, that sheath just "fits" the knife ( no pun intended). Beautiful collaboration.

It looks like you pulled it off beautifully. Nice pair from two of the finest makers.

D...Freakin...Lightful!!!!!

The silver work from the sheath lightly brings out the satin finish on the blade. While dyed rawhide accents the amber of the stag. Great Job Guys!

Knife and sheath combine for a great package here. Not sure I've seen amber crown stag before - looks good!

Thanks guys, I've had several requests for the amber crowns as of late and they are a really looking nice on the Bowies and of course, John's sheath work just knocked this one out of the park.

Here' are the specs...
This period -style Bowie has an 7 3/4" blade forged from 52100 high carbon steel with a hand-rubbed finish. The
guard, spacer and piened pin are all polished nickle-silver. The throat is Desert Ironwood Burl and the
handle is an A-grade Amber Sambar Stag crown. The overall length of this piece is 14".

This one found a home this afternoon.
Thanks again,
J.

Thanks guys!Paul, your influence on this one should be obvious even to a blind man!J,I'm glad this one found a home, now the temtation is off of me,because I REALLY liked this one,and found myself wanting to pull the trigger on it badly!

They go very together. I really like that amber stag crown John any chance we could see a pic of the other side of the knife. And you know I love your work.
