I'm actually a lefty, but have gotten used to opeing/using folders righty as well. Is the Sebenza available in a version that opens easily with either hand? I believe the "true" lefty version also puts the liner lock on the other side, but not sure I'd need that, just one with thumb studs accessible on either side ...

They do offer a dual thumb stud option, I believe its $40 if you send yours in or $20 if you choose it before it leaves the shop. The lock side is slightly grooved out to allow acess. When I can bring myself to part with mine Im going to send mine in for it and have my initals added.

P.S. Registered since Mar99 and this is your first post! Did a bit of lurking about huh?

And it looks something like this.

I think the cost is $20.00, but you should call CRK to find out for sure.

Thanks for the info (including that great pic)! Had heard a lot about Chris Reeve's work, but just got a chance to see/use some Sebenzas the other day alongside a good collection of custom and mass produced folders. The large with wood inlay is an amazing piece of craftsmanship. Needless to say, am saving my pennies to get a Sebenza.

I sent my large wood-inlayed Sebbie to CRK about 4 weeks ago, along with a $28.50 money order to have the ambi-thumbstuds added.$20.00 for the work and the rest for shipping. They turned it around in 2 1/2 weeks and the work is beautiful.I can recommend this modification.
Snappy new year!
