Here's one I *almost* have done... It's been a real challenge.

OAL about 13.5"
Blade length about 9.5"
Steel O1, 3/16" thick
Fittings O1 (except for brass nut on pommel)
Handle is Amboyna burl

Cool idea on the buttcap but honestly it kinda upsets the lines of the knife. Great knife though:thumbup:

I can honestly say that I like the whole thing - except the buttcap. Maybe if it didn't extend past the lower edge of the butt?

That burl is beautiful.

Thanks for your comments, guys. I wasn't sure about the length of the endcap myself, but it really makes the grip very secure. I may grind it off since it seems to detract from the overall appearance...

I would grind it down not get rid of it, just seems to pertrude a bit much. I like the knife though.
