Here's another recent hunter I made. I really like the lines of this piece. It's really comfortable. Super lightweight, compact but durable.

Specs:
Hand-forged from 1075 steel, clay quenched and etched
8" overall, 3 5/8" blade, .195" at the ricasso with full distal taper
False edge, not sharp
Rounded spine and ricasso edge
Rounded, filed thumb grip
Black g-10 guard
Black coined spacers
Bronze thorn and vine filed accent
Amboyna burl handle
Black checkered bolt cover

All comments and discussion welcome.

Thanks for all the comments guys. I appreciate all of you posting.

I am sure not everybody will get how difficult it is to get PERFECT details like that; just mention the rounded spine jimpings...how they fade so cleanly and simmetrically!!!!
I have yet to see (or even imagine) better hunting knives than yours!

Couldn't agree with you more, stezann. Now that I've had the chance to work with a John, in his shop, I can tell you firsthand that his methods and attention to detail are indicated in the work you see.

Really nice John.

I especially like the light fluting on the guard. Your knives never disappoint .

Thanks again guys. I really like the lines and materials on this piece. It's one of my favorite hunters I've made.
