Here's an 8 inch 5160 blade mated up with Stbilized Amboyna Burl.
All the fittings are hot-blued mild steel.
The guard is coin edged, the ferrule has been fluted and the butt cap faceted.
The handle, of course, facted to match the butt cap.
Hand rubbed finish on the blade which was forged down from 1" square 5160.
All in a Take-down Configuration!

Holy cow. Something about that level of complex symmetry screams "EXTREMELY DIFFICULT." Phenomenal piece!:thumbup:

That's awsome. It's my favorite from you so far. I agree with MSCantrell, that looks like difficult work went into the handle and fittings. I love it!
