Can anyone tell me what angle the factory edge is. This thing is butter knife dull. Any thought on how much it would take to reprofile it. Thanks for any help.
 
AFAICT these were made by Bark River and therefore have a convex grind, meaning the edge angle is zero. Best bet to sharpen is a slack belt with plenty of cooling (and experience) or the "mousepad method" with a pliable substrate and sandpaper.

For reprofiling, perhaps check some of virtuovice's YT videos - he reprofiled a few BRKs to his liking.
 
If that's the case just grind it to whatever geometry works for you. If you don't have access to a belt grinder or a coarse diamond plate (DMT or similar) it may be a lot of work.

But it's not like you're trying to preserve the way it came from the shop, if you can't even tell what the original grind on it was.
