Hey there everyone! I'm about to spring for my first 2x72 and I still cant decide on which one....so I'm turning to you folks for some insight. I'm stuck between the Ameribrade 2hp variable speed option, the KMG 2hp 3 speed option, and the Pheer 454 2hp variable speed. All are priced about the same, but since I've never used any of these machines I'm asking for advice and some insight on which one I should spring for. Thanks!

I would go with the Pheer 454 First and then the Ameribrade. KMG is not direct drive and that does matter.

The Ameribrade uses a 2" arm which is kinda funky

Of those three. Ameribrade or Pheer. Both are extremely good. Especially the prices! Kmg old news with belt drive. I had 2 and they served me well. But nothing like direct Drive variable speed!!!

I love my Ameribrade and couldn’t be happier with the product or service. But I haven’t seen the others first hand to compare.

I'd avoid the KMG as it isn't direct drive and there have been quite a few posts complaining about quality and customer service. I have never used an Ameribrade, so I can't really comment on it, but I have a Pheer and Jose was awesome in responding to my e-mails (some late on Sunday nights), and I have had no problems with mine. I bought the VFD and motor separate, so I just got the frame from him, yet he still included wiring diagrams for the motor and VFD. He didn't need to, but it helped a bunch to avoid looking for the correct info.

So from the info I've gathered I'm down to the Pheer and the Ameribrade. I've talked to the Ameribrade guys and they have been great, I like the setup and its $1650 shipped. The Pheer is $1775 shipped.

I remember when the new belt drive KMG was all the rage, lol. I did not agree and just kept running my two old Bader BIII direct drives. :D
Kmg was all the rage. BUILT LIKE A TANK, ETC, ETC!! I did have two. Shop tools are so different. You always want a great belt driven TableSaw. Zero vibration. Knife grinder, direct Drive all the way.

I have been drawn to Ameribrade. Looks crazy simple. 2" square tubing. BUT... Every singe post and review has been top notch all the way!! My reason for wanting one. If not for may setbacks in life I would have had mine already

Very nice. Congratulations. Send me your thoughts once you get a chance to use it.

You will be happy with the Ameribrade. I just got one a week ago and it is truly built to last. Every bit as good (and better) then my burr king. Changing out the platen for the small wheel attachment takes about 20 seconds.

From the looks it has to be fairly shallow. Tooling arms look short. Hopefully someone chimes in

Here is a picture of my set up. It's about 20 inches deep. BTW, uploading pictures here is like entering the 7th level of hades.
