America & Independence Day

I guess this is mostly for those of us that live in the US.

Though it is not perfect, (and what is?), America is a really great place to live. It is still the best of the "lands of opportunity".

It probably wouldn't hurt you, your day or your attitude to look about you and take a few minutes to appreciate.

The U.S. aint perfect, but in my humble opinion, we're closer to it than any other country. As someone put it in another post around here, we are the first country to have been formed solely on an idea.

A lot of people, myself included, get into a depressing fit about the situation of things and the direction they are heading. At least we live somewhere that gives us the option to resist.
