I have plenty of them, but at this moment I can not get them out onto "paper." How are you doing and how do you feel about facing the worst attack on America since Pearl Harbor? I would appericate reading your thoughts.

There is one thought I can write: God Bless America.

There is a pretty fair discussion going on over on the Hoodlums forum. You can share your feelings and thoughts there if you choose. We welcome you as a fellow American

I echo your thoughts

God Bless America, we can never allow these tyrants to change our way of life or threaten us.

Say a prayer for the survivors.

I've been praying for the families of those who were lost, throughout the day.
I'm worried that tomorrow (today) will see more terrorist attacks, and fear that this may have just been the beginning.
As a nation we are totally unprepared, and unable to defend against more attacks.
It's frustrating to know that this was a long time coming. It was just a matter of time, and despite all the trash that's being talked about reprisals, I know that we are helpless to stop more attacks that may have already been planned.
Equally frustrating is knowing that there will not be an immediate resolution.
Personally, I want to see "total war" waged on the countries that harbor or support these terrorists. Not to destroy specific targets, but to destroy their entire way of life.
They've attacked our civilians, and I take some comfort from the President's statement that we will not differentiate between the attackers, and those who harbor them. That remains to be seen, but I hope that it was true. I would rather see the entire Middle East depopulated, than have another American lose their life to a terrorist act.
Let's pray that this does not, somehow, turn into a ground conflict.

Detroit Metro Airport authorities just announced, via a rule by the FFA, that NO knives will be allowed on board any airplane. NO knives in your pocket or baggage. Curb-side check in has been stopped.

This is a dramatic change for honest, law abiding citizens but perhaps understandable under the circumstances??

Thought I would pass this along to save you check in time and the continued ownership of a most basic survival item.

Now what do we do?

My sister in Colorado offered the following: Mail your knives to me in advance of your trip and when you get here (if you are real nice to me) I'll give them back to you and from there you can head into the wilderness.

In the absence of a relative or friend at the point of destination, perhaps we could send our tools to a post office address (it does not have special requests) Thanks, sister. I love options:)

Does this mean the end of knife shows?

I think its time to stop blindly trusting others to protect us!
What would have happened if 20 people on any of the planes had knifes of there own? A riot I'm sure, but would the result have been the same?
It's easy to second guess when you are safe.

I feel an odd sense of calmness at the moment. It's really quite disturbing. Maybe I’ve just become resolved to the fact the world is going to sh!t. I would have resisted these thoughts at one time in my life, but not anymore. I haven’t given up on America, but I’m tired of all this global stuff. I’m ready for a simpler life of only thinking about those directly around me, and not the entire planet. There was a time when a man’s only concern was for those within his local community. That must have been a great time.

I guess I’m ready for it to stop being such a small world after all.
