Hi Guys,

I've had this Harvey Dean bowie for over a year and always felt it was incomplete without a sheath. Well, problem solved. Some of my fellow Canadian knife knuts had recommended Vess Collectibles ( http://www.websamba.com/vesscollectibles ) for quality sheath work. I am glad I took their advice.

Vadim was a pleasure to work with, and turned out exactly what I had asked for - not fancy and ornate, but elegant and solidly constructed. Vadim mostly does some excellent sheaths for custom and production folders, but as you'll see, he can handle the big fixed blades just as well.

Have a look:

Real nice work Vadim - looking forward to project number 2 already ;)

A very worthy project. It looks extremely well-constructed, and doesn't overpower the knife. Just right.

Canadian maple leaf red??! ;)

Coop

Nicely done Roger.
That is a great bowie and very nice sheath.
I believe you have another bowie in need of a sheath :D

What a gorgeous couple. That is a perfect marriage.

RogerP:

Nice setup on both the blade and sheath. How long is the blade on that Bowie? Stag looks great on this one.

Thanks guys. :D

brownie - the bowie sports a 10" blade, 15" oal.

Coop - the colour was my request - I wanted something reddish-brown / oxblood. It's not quite so red as the pictures suggest, but it sure does stand out from the other tan / black / dark brown sheaths for my other knives. Which was the idea. ;)

Cheers,

Roger

Now, where's that drooling icon when I need it? :)

Love the knife, and love the sheath.

WOW, That is a really great set-up ! ! !

I too have had the pleasure of purchasing a sheath from Vadim. I caught site of his work on ebay.ca and needed a sheath for my Spyderco Civilian.

After a few e-mails Vadim started working on a black horizontal carry sheath. A week later it was done and on it's way to me.

His work really is first rate and his prices reasonable. If you are looking for a leather sheath for a Spyderco, you would be doing yourself a disservice if you didn't look Vadim up.

If anyone wants a look at the sheath, I can e-mail them a picture.

Again, nice knife and sheath

That looks like a nice sheath.

Sure wish I had gone to the pre-show dinner at the CKG to get a glimpse of some of your knives that you had brought.

Maybe another time.
