Parker Frost made the American Eagle Series in 1976 commemerating 5 well known names of the American Revolution. This one has blue delrin handles, the eagle shield, stainless steel blades, and commemerates John Adams. The remaining 4 names are Patrick Henry, Thomas Jefferson, Nathan Hale, and George Washington, each with a different color delrin handle. There were 12,000 sets issued.

Beautiful pics Pygmalion! I'd somehow missed this thread until today. The knives were actually made by Imperial for Parker. Schrade Walden was in the midst of a restructuring at the time and there was no way they could have handled the extra volume, so the gang in Providence took up the orders. Most of these early commems were done at the Imperial site.

Hey Pygy ,tops mate you must be hunting and gathering a lot more by now .
Been busy pooring coffee on laptop amongst other things .

Have you got the 4 others yet ? Nice with a wall display .

I picked up four of this series today on ebay but missing the E3 which is red and the wall plaque.

I want to say that I've read somewhere on the forum that some of the early Am. Eagle Commemoratives were bone handled IIRC.

I finally managed to pick up a complete set of these including the wall plaque. I'll post pics in a day or two.
