Hi All, this arrived today, a very nice custom via www.urbanconquest.com.au

OVERALL LENGTH: 11.75 Inches
BLADE LENGTH: 7.25 Inches
BLADE THICKNESS: 0.25 Inch
STEEL: 1095, Differentially heat treated
GRIND: Hollow right hand chisel
EDGE: Standard chisel
HANDLE: Paracord
SHEATH: 0.08 Inch thick Kydex with drain hole

There's a 12 month wait for anything DJ does, and he sells out if he does runs of anything. His unique trademark is all his blades are flat on one side, making any blade edge a chisel edge.

Here she is next to another rare thing, IWC Porsche Design Ocean 2000.

The knife arrived with some decent rust on the tip of the handle, totally reasonable when the knife is coming from Queensland in Australia, where it's humid, anyway the rust had to go, and she needed a good oiling.

But there's been 2 things I've wanted to do for a while, intentionally add patina to a blade and learn how to paracord wrap a blade. Perfect, this is the knife for this. No a bad result for the afternoon. The persian style blade looks even better now that it looks used, old and dark grey.

What a beauty it is :)

Just one question (since I am a newbie here in the forums): What exactly does one use a knife like that for? I use all my knives for cooking, but this looks more like an outdoor knife?

yeah this is more of a looker rather than a do-er for me, but I'd say this would be good in the field, filleting/gutting.
