Can someone tell me if the sword pictured is the American Kensai or a completely different model? Thanks

Dark, That sure looks like the one in my pamphlet.
It is a newer one though, because of the tube fasteners on the
handle.

Looks like it's got a crinkle coat too. I would think it's either a custom piece or an A2 model since I don't think Jerry ever made a Kensei out of INFI except on a custom basis. Bet it's A2, Bet it rocks, Bet I'd give just about anything to have it too. Is this yours? Who ever this belongs too let me know cause I'd like to talk business.

Thanks guys, I figured it had to be an AK, but couldn't verify it myself.

Nope, she's not mine someone else is selling her and sent me the photo. He didn't know what he had, and I wasn't sure either, lol

That looks like an AK to me aswell. BTW, does anyone know why some AK's had spinal blade catches, some with tantos, etc. Did the AK's come with options such as these? Or perhaps did the AK change over time?

I don't think any of the actual AK's had blade catches. I think those are just variant wakis. I could be wrong. Not sure it the AK was offered in both tanto and standard kissaki. The Tantos might be variants as well.

DN, did you say short sword:eek:    I gott a get one. Do you know where this fine fellow might be selling it?
