Exactly;) THe boots are Filson, but they are no longer made in the USA:( You have to find a NOS or be willing to take a once worn pair and have new insoles and reconditioning.

Wow nice Filson's great brand I live 10 min from the headquarters awsome old school american products that are tough as hell and you can bet you life on any thing they make in america it's a bit disconcerning the offshoreg crap tho got some wool fingerless glove's this winter and they suck ass went thru 2 pairs so far both with minor use glad they have a Busse like warranty but in my opinion they really messed up going offshore and the durability really shows the third pair is splitting apart too but they dont't carry them anymore, sent the whole lot back to china. Those boots are great tho love the cork insole and wool liner VERY comfortable nice choice don't see many people using them on the net, my hat is off to you sir..........o yea great knife's too very envious:thumbup:

My first choice is American made boots too. My 12 year old Danners have walked, run, jumped, swam, stomped, kicked and smashed more than I care to remember, whilst on duty.

I must say, you guys certainly got boots and knives right!

I go for Redwing myself, the vast majority are Made in USA, I have 4 pairs myself, first pair was bought for me in 96 by my Dad (Redwing diehard.) I still wear them to this day, great boots!
