You get a little more than you pay for. They are nothing amazing, but good value for the $$.They mod up real nice, and that is their appeal for most.
They are as durable as anything out there. I own about 8 of thier products in Tomahawk/Axe form, and love them all.
Check out the sticky at the top of this page.
There are some US made hawks out there that you can get for about 2x the price of the CS ones. I dont actually think they are better, but it something to say that a local guy hammered out a product with his bare hands, as opposed to a import thats produced by the hundreds.

actually, i'm not sure but i think the american tomahawk company is different from cold steel, despite the fact that cold steel legally owns the name.

ATC is not Cold Steel.

Here's mine, made by ATC before production of the Rogers' Rangers spike transferred to Bear Mountain:

Real nice piece.....Would like to pick one of those up someday.

The old ATC is gone, Cold Steel bought the name and the "American Tomahawk Company" hawks are now made in Taiwan, go figure. That being said, the quality is pretty good and so are the prices. They are really fun to mod, throw and play with.

I believe A.T.C. still offers the VTAC, the CQC-T, and the Sibert Comanche.

Peter Lagana started the american tomahawk co. back during the vietnam war.

Lynn Thompson owns the american tomahawk co. name which he never used until just a few years ago.

Andy Prisco started the old Lagana american tomahawk co. back up with the permission of the Lagana family. this is when Lynn Thompson started putting the atc sticker on the cold steel hawks which has always created confusion.

Andy Prisco's atc hawks are modern top of the line hawks.
Cold Steel atc hawks are made in taiwan where they always have been. they are decent hawks for little money with a little servicing.
