At Ranger Training Brigade's command is an American Hero and Combat Veteran of extraordinary experience and talent...CSM Mike Kelso.

CSM Kelso has been a consummate Professional Soldier for over 24 years and has "been there and done that" all over the world. He was also instrumental in American Tomahawk's inclusion to the Best Ranger Competition as a Corporate Sponsor and the Competition's very first Event Provider from the private sector.

Among the myriad of symbols at his disposal to create his first Military Coin, CSM Kelso chose unbeknownst to us, American Tomahawk's Rogers' Rangers Spike Tomahawk.

"Coining" is a relatively new tradition in the U.S. Armed Services, though its roots can be traced to the Roman Empire.

Typically, the Coins that bear a unit crest are given out by Commanders and Sergeants Major to recognize outstanding acts of service performed by Soldiers in the course of duty.

We do not know of any other company in the cutlery industry that has been bestowed such an honor.

To CSM Kelso and the Ranger Training Brigade, we offer our most sincere gratitude and thanks.

That coin is the prettiest coin I've ever seen :D I guess he likes tomahawks a lot! You are getting honors and promos right n left here, Andy. By the Rangers too... can't beat that ;)

SWEET!

Hey Blueflint, nice to see somebody on the younger side have such patriotism and have a passion for Hawks.
I'm prior Air Force. Had a great in Bitburg Germany. Good Beer!

I hope you enjoy your service time if you decide to join.

Take care
Greg

Thanks, Sand Man. As each day goes by I become more of a hawk maniac. And I WILL join the service! I plan on being an Army Ranger and have for a while. Thanks for serving all of us. The Air Force is cool... as long as its not Navy its okay :D j/k.

I guess he gave you a coin, Andy? Mind sellin it? :D
;)

Great News Andy!

The coin is beautiful and I know many Americans appreciate all the hard work and dedication our servicemen give to this nation. It is good that the ATC can be part of this effort.

Relay our thanks and appreciation the the Army Rangers.

Doesn't seem that long ago since you were on the ground being choked out by a Ranger...

Raise your glass Hawk-a-teers, a toast to Andy & the American Tomahawk Company!

Great coin!!!! I love that story about Andy getting choked out. (I'm glad it didn't happen to me)

 Fair is fair

Don't point out typos in my newsletter and I won't point out typos in your post:eek:

Coming next: Hawk fight in Mississippi...:D

HA! HA! Very funny Melvin
So Andy do you scalp a person using a Veitnam Tactical or Rogers Ranger Spike?:D

Now, now children. Don't make me come down there and take away your tomahawks! ;)

There'll be no scalping until after you've finished all your chores!

No, not my tomahawks!!! I'll let you hold the VN Tac and RR Spike... but if you want the NG be prepared for hell

YOur 'hawks are an awsome piece of field gear & art. I have yet to pull mine out when it didn't draw a crowd. (I haven't tried it in an airport - yet!) ;)

Isn't it interesting how your going into the hawk business ("you're gonna go broke! Nobody buys tomahawks these days..." ;) ) has been a great lesson in PRACTICAL HISTORY for our own Army? Major Rogers knew his stuff!

>RadioRay ..._ ._

Ps. Moving to central Idaho in three weeks. Maybe I need to pick-up another hawk for my bride-to-be? :lol
