Hand-cut and polished swedge

Here is a pattern based on the old "Corn Topper" knives used by seed companies to de-tassle corn.
The is my version of the pattern made by Cattaraugus and some localized smaller knife companies around the turn of the (last) century.

Unique in its blade configuration, this knife is a real eye-catcher. The handle fits in your hand like a glove. Traditional long pull, dramatic re-curve blade and the hand-cut and polished swedge really make this Maize Knife a unique offering.

We will begin making the limited edition of this knife in a month or so. This is one of only 6 prototypes.

The Indian Sambar stag on this knife is classic, which fits with the other attributes of this pattern. Not made in over 100 years, this Cotton Topper will really be a special part of anyone's collection.
