Hi, I'm new to the forum and this is my first post. When I bought this stag knife from Pappy in Amherst, he told me about the forums and thought that I might be interested in taking a look. I registered and looked around. You all do some interesting stuff here. I'm glad Pappy told me about Bladeforums. I'm not real computer savvy, but I like my knives.

I got this one from Amherst about a month ago. Really made my day when I found out that the jewelry decorations on the lanyard strings is done by a local artist at Bead Paradise right here in Oberlin.

Had to borrow a picture from the Amherst website. I haven't figured out ow to do photos very well yet on the computer. I hope this is ok.

Pappy makes a nice knife for sure. The stag on that one is outstanding! Welcome to the forum!

I just bought my first Amherst knife today...... a single blade 154cm with blue mammoth ivory scales. So far I'm impressed with the fit/finish and overall quality.

Heck I actually won one of Pappy's knives and it is terrific. I'm one of the luckiest guys around for snagging that one. THANKS PAPPY!!!

Just did an IP search on oberlinmariner and verified that it is a multiple account belonging to Tim Balda dba Amherst Cutlery. This multiple account (not the first time Balda had been warned about this issue) is not only a violation of bladeforums.com's terms of service, it is also a regrettable and dishonest attempt to shill products by the owner of the company posting as another individual.
