My brother is looking into getting a Springfield M1A(M14 style of rifle) in the black synthetic and I was wondering for him if there was a vest out there that had built in mag pouches for a .308 rifle mag such as an M1A/M14 style of rifle, he did consider getting an AR but he thinks them too popular and like the old M14's and their look, but I have found my dream AR just doesn't come with the optic but this is not about me I already have an old LBV with four pouches that I received from a friend. I have considered a MOLLE vest as they can be made to what you want by attaching pouches to them but that will be pricey depending on the vest and pouches. I think that having a vest of sorts be it MOLLE or an old army LBV is a good idea just in case the world goes to poop they often do not cost alot if you get surplus but I was lucky to get one that was just lying around for free.
