After Effortlessly chopping this Sweetgum, & still Shaving sharp, we went to eat some Hard/seasoned Oak!!
With little effort, it did what an axe does, & would still pop the hair off your arm!
This Oak was hard as a rock, should have dulled it a little!
Great HT p moore!!

So, I had to chop & baton one more! In less than 45 minutes, this baby went through some wood, & still Razor Sharp!
It will be on me always! Thanks p moore!

Nice looking chopper. Looks like there's plenty of handle to counter balance that blade.

thanks fmajor & Mistwalker.
The knife is really balanced for a 2lber!
Plus I wanted the curved back handle for the Serious chopping, then my choil allows me to choke up & do some precision cutting. I love it!!

awesome looking knife but i have to point out that leather is kick ass also. congrats on a very nice set up sir

Good looking blade, how comfy is the handle, though? It looks like it might cause some hotspots after prolonged use? Of course, everyones hands are different, so I would really know if I had one.

That's an awesome set up! The curved back handle is well thought out and it looks like it works really well - I especially like the sculpted slabs. Thanks for the post and pics Carney C and awesome work Paul!

Thanks all you fellows!
The handle allows me to get in that back curve when heavy chopping to get some serious leverage.
The Micacrta scales are ground that way for grip, we call it "knapped"
I am always in the swamps, wet, covered in mud, sweat & Snake blood. I lost one knife Knifing a gator last year, & I don't want that to happen again.
The "Knapped Canvas OD Micarta" has the best grip I have ever held, & the grinds give it more traction in the water, wont slip.
Haven't noticed any Hot Spots, but if I do, that means my hands need to adapt!
GOD Bless!

Fantastic! Man that is a great looking knife, I'm jealous!

...Great to see someone who really appreciates a good big knife.
