AMS 5629 I found this in a metal recycle bin
it was taged i have the nsn but could not fin any use full information on it accept that it was corrosion resistant non electical
any help would be greatly appreciated.
 
Rotor: A.M.S.-5629 is also known as 13-8 MO.It is a corrosion resisant steel. Composition is, Chorium-12.25-13.25, Nickel 7.50- 8.50, Molybdenum 2.00- 2.50. It is a precipitation Hardenable steel or age hardenable. Max. hardness on this steel is R/C-45. Not sutible for knife blades, but could be used for springs, Verry expencive to heat treat.
