AMS vs Pork Shank

I have put off getting a pork shank for a while. I got my LE AMS and it seems to fit the bill but I still keep thinking about a pork shank. I think it would look great next to my dssf. Anyone with both have a preference?

Another question, are there any numbered pork shanks?

I love my pork shank but do not have my AMS yet. I do with that the pork shank had a smaller choil. But all in all it's a very sweet blade. The grind on it allows it to be one of the sharpest busses I own. I do not believe there are any numbered pork shanks.

I really like them both, these 2 slender designs just feel pretty handy to me.

Without having and intended purpose for either I couldn't pick a favorite. They're both handy.

The Shank is still pretty awesome.

And nope, no numbered Shanks either, to this date anyway

The AMS should make for a excellent skinner. It's a tad smaller than the CABS which is considered
one of the better Busse skinner's. I have never used a pork shank.

I can't wait to do some animal processing so that I can compare these two.

They are both great little knives, I'm slightly more partial to the AMS simply due to it's slightly more compact size. I'm a huge fan of both though.

The longer handle on the PS has its advantages, but for an EDC blade the MS is just about perfect for me. Once hunting season comes back around I will be using both and I am sure they will both find a permanent place in the processing kit.

I really like both. Matter of fact the two plus a big chopper may be the perfect camping kit.
