WarrenR...I'm glad to see that you are pleased with the Siru by Amtrak! Care to tell us more about your new symptom, er, your new beauty? :)

Raju, a.k.a. "Amtrak", does very nice work. I've got a little 14" Balance khukuri he did with a no-kidding Cheetlangi handle on it. No joke, it's complete with the crosshatched checkering on bolster and handle, and has the dramatically flared pommel of a Chit. The combination of the wasp waisted Balance blade and the Chit style handle make this little khuk fairly dance in your hand, so I very much doubt it was a mistake on Raju's part to make it this way.

I'm waiting on pins and needles for another of his knives, a beautiful wood handled 20" Sirupati that tips the scales at a mere 22 ounces! Vines, brush, and all other sort of undesirable vegetation, you have been warned ;-)

Ohhhhh My Precious..... My Precious....
It's such a beauty!
I've never seen so much 'sheen' on a knife before.
I've purposely left it out on the counter so I can peek
about every 10 minutes...My Precious....
I love the horn handle...small and fits my hand great.
The blade is much much 'beefier' than expected, while it's
balanced almost perfect. Compared to my 'other' Sirupati (which
is now owned by my Uncle) it's serious...can easily be put to
duty use but I doubt she'll ever see that. Amtrack even did some brass inlay on the blade to top it off. I'm still dumbfunded that this was a blem.

I'm in the process of wood chuckin' my Sgt. Karka Villager.
spent 3 days so far just taking the lower 1/2 of the handle down
and fine finishing. was able to get a coat of Tru Oil on it last night. Tomorrow I'll continue w/ the top half. It's looking sweeet!
I'll have to post pics when she's finished. Lots more work to do though.

Having only 2 of each doesn't bother me too much. So far...

:D :D :D
