I know it's totally off topic, but recently I've found a great short movie on youtube that I thing is worth showing here:
It's a free dive but amazingly filmed with cool music - a pure joy to watch! Please choose the full screen option from the start! :thumbup:

My 17yrs old nephew does this. He's on the school's water polo team that just won the Hawaii State Champ. I think he recently entered one of those free dive competition but messed up, misunderstood one of the directions or something. He can hold his breath over 4 mins.
Nice getting fresh fish.

WOW!

I thought I was a strong diver holding my breath for 1.5 mins. All I could think of while watching this vid was drop the weights and get up to the surface.
 
The description of the video clearly states it was fake. I made the font size of the reference larger.

I was impressed at first til I read it was all a sham.

Of course it has not been filmed during one dive on one breath. They admit it in the description. Other than that the guy gets into the water without a watch and goes out with one on his wrist :D
But that's totally not the point. To me this film is amazingly shot with great music and it's just very interesting to watch. Considering the depth of the Dean's Blue Hole (202 m, 663 ft) no one could get to the bottom of it on one breath (the record is 124 m). But the the guy who dives in this movie is some kind of champion, and he does it with grace. Did you know the breath holding record is nearly 20 minutes...:eek:
