Here's one of the khukuris Sgt. Karka sent me. It's a 15 inch 22 ounce Ang Khola and excellently done. He has it hardened up to about 60 Rc and I don't see anything wrong with the knife. I suspect he has finished it using the BirGorkha buffing equipment -- nice finish. And, he's used the habaki style bolster and BirGorkha style buttcap. It's a very good khukuri.

The scabbard also is very nicely done although as made it's not going to be an easy carry. You'll have to rig a belt loop of some kind for it. Good leather and good work on the white metal. Nice engraving on the mouth and tip pieces.

Since about 1/3 of the price will go to Ram for continuing med school expenses I'll ask an even $100 for this khukuri made by a 35+ year vet of the Nepali Army.

Email to get it and stay tuned.

PS: Just discovered I have three like this one so price falls to $75.

Very nice looking knife. The edge is a little flatter at the sweet spot (or maybe it's the picture).

Sweet! If I hadn't already gotten the Sgt. Karka Bilton Kothimoda and just now, the Bura Villager, I'd jump on this...

Someone save me! :D

Very Nice AK's...
if it were a lil bigger and a scabbard wasn't so nice,
I'd probably snag one.
I'd feel guilty carrying one of these while working in the woods ;)

Hmmmmm.
Nice.
Tempting......tempting.......

Easy to add a belt loop.

A khuk from the Sarge!

I'm in money woes, hadta put new tires on the truck. Otherwise, that'd get a place in the library. veery fancy.

If I didn't have to go to the Dentist tomorrow morning I'd get one myself :( . I don't understand why these Khuks haven't been bought up yet  ?

Hope Ram Sahib gets becomes a really doctor to help out his community.

Perhaps Sarge Sahib will make him a scalpel set too...HI dimensions of course...

:D

Guys,

If the Sarge put an edge on these anything like the one he put on my new Bilton, you are in for a treat with one *mean* choppin' machine!

Email sent on the last Sgt. Karka 15" Ang Khola. Couldn't resist helping out Sgt. Karka and son and getting a special khuk as well.

I hope it is as sharp as your Bilton Nasty, I can't sharpen knives at all.

I just received mine; I'd love to keep it but I got it to give as a gift. It is really a ten out of ten. This guy is no amateur!!! Sgt. Karka has picked up some mad kami skills somewhere. The AK I received is flawless; barely any ripples anywhere on either side of the blade, and the blade is as true as I've ever seen on a khuk. The grind lines and the curved AK crest on either side around the fullers are perfectly symmetrical. This is about as good as it gets with hand forged and hand ground blades IMO. Sher and Sanu do excellent work, and I'm big fans of theirs, but just about everyone in the shop, except Bura perhaps, could look to Sgt. Karka's work as the standard to strive for with regard to symmetry, precision, and blade trueness (by this I mean how straight the blade is as you stare down the blade with the tip pointed at your face). Sorry for ranting. I'm just thrilled with this one, and sad (yet proud!) to give it as a gift.

What a bargain!

Thanks again, Uncle.
