Here's one of the khukuris Sgt. Karka sent me. It's a 15 inch 22 ounce Ang Khola and excellently done. He has it hardened up to about 60 Rc and I don't see anything wrong with the knife. I suspect he has finished it using the BirGorkha buffing equipment -- nice finish. And, he's used the habaki style bolster and BirGorkha style buttcap. It's a very good khukuri.
The scabbard also is very nicely done although as made it's not going to be an easy carry. You'll have to rig a belt loop of some kind for it. Good leather and good work on the white metal. Nice engraving on the mouth and tip pieces.
Since about 1/3 of the price will go to Ram for continuing med school expenses I'll ask an even $100 for this khukuri made by a 35+ year vet of the Nepali Army.
Email to get it and stay tuned.
PS: Just discovered I have three like this one so price falls to $75.
