As a public service to new members of the Cantina -- and visitors, here is a humble start to a dictionary of commonly used terms appearing in descriptions of eBay auctions:
"Genuine" typically means: a reproduction or outright fake
"Ghurka" (also Ghorka, Gerka, Gorka, Gorkha, Gurkha et al.), adj. (e.g. "Ghurka knife"), means: some slight chance exists that a Ghurka saw such an item, possibly in a film.
"Kukri" (also kuhkree, kookeree, kookre, co co ri, et al.) means: whatever they're selling at the time.
"military" usually means: having no connection whatsoever with any military
"premium" means: ordinary to far less than that
"rare" means: common
"Superb" means: gaudy
"Turkish Kukri" means: vendor has a poor grasp of geography
"very rare" means : common as dirt
"vintage" always means: nothing
"19th century" usually means: 20th or 21st century
Lexicographers amongst us will doubtless add to the list.
