An Elmax flipper?

I've been thinking about getting a Speedform II, but the fact that it isn't a flipper has been holding me back. I mostly like flippers because I had some scares with ordinary liner locks back in the 90's. The Kershaw flipper design gives me a nice feeling of a safety margin, which will prevent the blade from guillotining the tip of my finger when disengaging the liner. Spyderco's choiled blade designs give me the same feeling of safety, but I prefer the way Kershaw designs dedicated slicing blades.

So, which Kershaw flipper model would you like to see in Elmax at the same MSRP (about $150) as the Speedform II? It has to be a knife which could reasonably be made at the same or lower price point as the Speedform II, of course. So, the JYD would be unrealistic, but the Skyline might work, for example.

pfft just go all out and get a ZT 560 :p

but i would love to see a blur in Elmax with a flipper or skyline or something like that :D

I think a skyline would be sweet in elmax, but I would love to see a shallot in elmax and maybe a titanium handle, but that's just me dreaming

I still find myself a bit flummoxed over the fact that the Speedform is missing both of the Kershaw features which come to my mind that improve speed: A Kershaw-style flipper, and SpeedSafe. :D

I'd prefer a non-assisted flipper like the Skyline, myself, but the irony is slightly more highlighted if both features are mentioned.

They had the ZT 0350 with a composite Elmax blade. You could take the torsion bar out.

I'd like to see an Elmax manual flipper Shallot.

The Speedform and Speedform II are actually very fast despite being non-assisted and thumbstud-deployed.

The flipper would ruin the lines of the Speedforms, IMO. I really liked the sleek design and look of them when I was on the hunt, and Elmax was just the added bonus.

Probably closer to what you might want as far as the design, except that it won't have Elmax, might be the ZT 0888 (I know I'm getting at least one with the CB :) ):

Well, I'd be satisfied with clean lines, an Elmax blade, and a Kershaw-style flipper at the same price point as the Speedform II.

what they could do is take the speed form 2 and incorporate the flipper mechanism from the OD1 so that it would be hidden when open

I'm sure that would be nice for some people. However, for me, the reason I like Kershaw flippers is not primarily for the opening mechanism. I like Kershaw style flippers mostly for the comfortable partial guard they form when the knife is open.
