I have a fix for the BA3 sheath problem, but I can't post the pictures. If anyone is interested enough to see them, I can e-mail them.
Basically, it's a block that prevents the knife from falling out of the sheath. The knife is removed by pulling it away from the back of the sheath. This block idea has been used for many years on leather sheaths. It doesn't work as well on this sheath because the back is too soft. A hard aluminum or plastic backing plate would fix that problem. I also thought about mounting a pin on the back of the sheath that would fit into one of the holes in the handle, but I didn't want to modified the sheath yet.
