Ken Erickson sent me this picture last night. This one will be headed my way once the finishing touches are done. I'm practically giddy with anticipation .....yes, you heard me right, I said giddy.:D

Looks like a nice one. Any other detail/specs you'd like to share?

I thought you said you were broke? :)

If you'd like, he can send to me for a while, thus prolonging the giddy feeling.

That looks very nice. I really like the shape.
The blade shape is similar to a knife VCM3 posted that caught my eye.

Should be about 3 1/2 inches, ATS-34, front bolster will be fluted, a bit of a swedge on the blade, Ken is even going to add a nail nick just for me.
I have discovered that armed robbery of convenience stores is a great way to pick up some extra knife money.

I would do that Guyon, but a man can only stand so much giddiness without becoming incontinent.

... and I am sure that many of us have learned the hard way that to successfully take on a convenience store ya gotta have a tactical nail nick.
(That was just for emphasis to the younger folks, us old fogey's already knew that.)

Congrats Rob. I am almost giddy for ya.

I may not be giddy, but I'm getting the "vapors" just from looking at it. Great jigging and double bomb shield. Congrats.

The bone looks like antique salvage?? Can you tell us anything before you send it to me. . .uh errr, I mean before you get it??

Waynorth, I believe that Ken did the jigging and dye job on that bone. There are some pictures of his "old school" jigging on his web site. The look of the bone was one of reasons that prompted me to ask him to make me one.

That looks great, Rob. Seems like Ken must be getting a fair bit of business from Texas.

Ken's jigging has really come a long way. Very "authentic" look to it. I like it!

I just got pictures of the finished knife from Ken. Should be in my hands next week. Oh man!

Rob - great score. Ken is building some terrific knives that look great and work even better. I really like the shield and how he cut the swedge on your blade.
Great knife Ken.
Rick

Great knife:thumbup: I should be working out the details with Ken on something pretty soon.
