An incorrect claim on Ebay

This is just a heads-up for you folks! It has been brought to our notice that there is a Neil Roberts knife for sale on Ebay that is completely misrepresented. It is claimed as being 1 of 500 and that Chris has signed the box. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=320017717415 I thought I'd put speculation to rest before it starts that there is no limited edition of 500 Neil Roberts knives, nor is it Chris's signature on the box. I have emailed the seller.

you need to email ebay and tell them of the fraud before some innocent gets stung and holds it agaisnt CR knives forever!

Yes, ebay is set up to take emails and calls on these issues

They can pull an auction

Hopefully though the seller will read your email and do the right thing...

AS TO THE PREVIOUS REFERENCE TO LIMITED QUANTITY AND SIGNATURE BY CHRIS REEVE, THAT IS BASED ON VISUAL INSPECTION OF THE LID OF THE BOX. I DID NOT BUY THIS KNIFE DIRECTLY FROM CHRIS AND WOULD FURTHER STATE THAT IF I PLACED ANY IMPORTANCE ON THE LIMITED QUANTITY ISSUE OR CHRIS' SIGNATURE, I DON'T THINK I WOULD BE STARTING THE BID ALMOST 25% BELOW HIS NORMAL RETAIL. Appears to be a different seller -- may or may not be the same knife. This seller appears to not be the sharpest blade in the block . . . take a look at the supposed signature on the box. Anyone that's seen Chris's signature on a born on card (like what's shown in the same image) can see that the box signature is not authentic.
 
That's the same knife.

The original seller began the first auction 15 Aug 06 @ 15:21 PDT and the auction closed, without a bidder, on 25 Aug 06 @ 15:21 PDT. The starting bid was $249.99 and had a "buy it now" for $299.99.

The orginal seller relisted the knife on 25 Aug 06 @ 16:09 PDT and the auction was closed on 26 Aug 06 @ 18:45 PDT. Selling price was $299.99.

The person that purchased the knife (the new seller) has the knife listed as a "buy it now" for $450.

The pics in the old and new auction are the same. The new auction has portions of the same description as the relisted auction. . . .for example:
