Not sure what Maisy had done yesterday but when we got back from our hike we noticed blood everywhere, turned out Maisy had quite a nasty cut on her paw which wouldn't stop bleeding.
I applied a liberal amount of Cayenne pepper and covered it with a couple of band-aids. The bleeding stopped almost immediately and it looked much better this morning. We applied some new band-aids and set off for another hike !
Lots of rugged coast line today !
A pic of Mrs Pit taking a pic !
Some wild strawberries were starting to emerge~
This Balsam Fir is one of the most blister dense I've ever seen. I'm sure I could have filled a jam jar with the resin if I'd wanted to !
A quick check to see how the wounded soldier was holding up !
Snicker knows the trail well!
Time for a rest stop~
Mrs Pits knife today, the little Swampwarden~
Re-fueling the dogs with some dried liver....Mmmmmm tasty !
One last look at the view before we headed back !
Yeah she loved it....I know she's gonna be bagged again tonight after this !
