Just wanted to introduce myself as a new member of the forum. I've been lurking for a couple of months now after buying my 2nd folder, a Kershaw Chive a while back. I found these forums when looking for the Chive. More recently, I had a chance to fondle a William Henry carbon fiber at a cutlery store. I was actually looking at the knife sharpening devices when the salesguy showed me a WH Black & Tan. Though I was perfectly happy with the Chive, I was stricken with the look, feel & weight of the WH carbon fiber. I went home and started looking around online. I liked stainless accents a bit more tan the gold so I ended up with the Kestrel. It suits my needs perfectly, fits in the pocket well (like the Chive) and weighs next to nothing.

I'm going to try and post some photos I took (not that you guys don't know what one of these looks like). This is a great resource and I look forward to learning as I go.

Best,

Welcome to the forums Patrick! I really like the the CF Kestrel too; it's one of my favorites that sees a lot of pocket time. I have several gents class knives I've accumulated over time; but, only a select few get carried these days.

Very impressive pics -- professional level work here!

Cheers,
Charlie

welcome Patrick! the chive was my first quality knife:)
that WH looks sweet! i've been thinking of getting one but my local cutlery store is charging $279CAD for it (about $200USD) :barf:

Welcome Patrick,
I'm a relative newbie too, and one that owns a WH kestrel.
I opted for the T09-A, the jigged bone, after handling both the carbon fiber and mine side by side. I loved the looks of the carbon fiber, but I'm just a little more secure feeling that little bit of extra weight in my pocket.
It's now one of my accessories for business dress.

It's easy to produce drool worthy photos, when you've got drool worthy subject matter :)

Welcome to the forums. I'll be buying my first WH (T-10 ironwood) in the not too distant future.

Very nice pics, that is a great looking knife. I used to have a T-12 carbon fiber spear point William Henry and they are well made, beautiful knives. Nice pick up:)
