hell yes! brook trout, lake trout, pickerel (walleye to the yanks,) smallmouth bass and so on...perch blah blah blah.
for me, i've always been after pickerel(walleye) but that's more about where i was raised farther north than where i live now.
can't get enough of fishing.

i know it's against the rules of life (especially in canada) but i don't drink coffee. hot chocolate is all i get into, always pack some in. it's been raining for a couple days here so i felt just fine about a small contained fire to warm it all up. so no pics of that unfortunetly.

Hey Northern,

Looks like Larch to me (AKA Tamarack - Larix laricina).

As far as the fungus goes, I only know a few - True Tinder fungus, False Tinder fungus, crotch rot, and athlete's foot. I don't eat mushrooms, so aside from the fire making benefits, it doesn't have a lot of interest for me.

This stuff: I used to know what it was, but I'm wracking my brain for an answer (damn 64 year old memory :( )

Guess I really blew my 'top plant guru' thing there. :D (Nice try, though, Rock :D )

Doc

ETA: Hey northern,

I think maybe the stuff in the picture is Running Club-Moss (Lycopodium clavatum)
