I just wanted to introduce myself and show most of what I have collected over the years.

I've always appreciated knives, but I have always bought lower end/ used knives.
Once I was introduced to the BK2 I couldn't wait to find a used one.
Seeing as they don't lose much value it wouldn't have done me much good.
The BK2 fills a lot of gaps in my collection.
So far I love it and can't wait to take it out in the woods.
I definitely plan on stripping it and at least a little stippling on the handle, but I would like to take it out once before I begin any modifications.

Welcome. Nice collection. The 2 compliments it very well.

I really have a thing for bayonets too, although I do not own any. Always wanted a few, but I keep changing my mind. What type of bayonets are those?

One is the current usmc bayonet ontario okc 3s and the other is a swedish 1896 mauser bayonet.

I bought the usmc bayonet and intended to use it as my main camp knife, but it's a little too much.
I bought the swedish bayonet on a whim ~25 years ago, I think from smkw before the internet.

Welcome to the forum. The 2 is a hell of a blade. It was my first as well.

The 2 is pretty awesome but just in case you haven't heard -"You can't not have a 9"
All Beckers are exceptional but the 9 is the King!

Just sayin'...

Welcome and congrats on your first Becker knife. The BK2 is an outstanding first choice. It was my first also and in fact is still my go-to belt knife almost 2 years later. If it ain't broke don't fix it! I do have a BK14 also and love it, but the 2 is a true workhorse.

Howdy bud and congratulations. You now have one hell of a tough knife that will save your life in a pinch. I had to chuckle when I saw your knife pic. I remember buying those old Swedish bayonets, upper right in picture. It was about 25 years ago and they went for five bucks each I believe in a military surplus up here in Canuckia. I had great fun farting around with bayonets back in the day.
:)

The 2 was my first and only Becker for about a year and a half. I lived in a very rural area then and was able to carry it on a daily basis. Great knife. Used it for about everything. 16 is my fave now. I'd try one of those next. Welcome!
