I've been lurking here for a few years and recently decided to start posting. I thought I'd take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Jeremy. I've loved traditionals ever since my dad bought my a Case trapper just like his when I was around ten. I've enjoyed reading your posts over the years and would like to show my appreciation with a little give away.





I'll be giving away a USA made Schrade Old Timer 34OT. It's been carried and used but it's still in great shape and would make someone a good user. GAW is open to anyone who has at least one post in traditionals prior to this thread. Overseas members feel free to enter. Just post I'm in to enter. Since a trapper is what got me hooked feel free to post pics of your favorite trappers. I'll run it until I get home from work on Friday.

I truly enjoy hanging out on the porch with all my folder addict brothers from a different mother :)

Welcome to the madness of this place--as someone who has done more reading than posting, I am guessing you know what I'm talking about. Funny you mention your dad buying you a knife as a boy; I've done the same with all my kids. It's a great way to ground a tradition and some practical sense... good to hear. So, please count me in your GAW--that's a fine looking knife with lots of life still left in her.

As requested, here is a pic of my favorite trapper. It's a GEC #42 with natural stag covers, serial #6 with my wife's name engraved on the other bolster (she's born on a "6th").

Welcome to the forum Jeremy! I already have a Schrade 34OT that was the first knife given to me by my wife so not an entry as I would love to see someone else win this great knife. Thanks for the generous GAW though:thumbup::D
