First things first: Hello from Phoenix, AZ. I've lurked on here a few times in the past year or so and finally decided to join up. Right now I'm just an avid admirer of edged weapons/tools, with a small collection of nearly a hundred knives/axes that began with the fisherman's Swiss Army knife my father gave me on my 13th birthday about a thousand years ago (more like 30, but sometimes it really feels like a thousand).
Over the next couple years I'm hoping to put together a little personal knife workbench, so I can begin to learn how to repair/restore some of the older knives in my collection. Towards that end, I'm hopefully that I can learn many things from all of you wise old elves.
Anyway, now to my question: can someone direct me to the forum where I can ask about knife restorers? You know, who they are, what they might charge, etc? Thank you very much for your replies and I hope to make a few friends here.
