An introduction and a question

Hello to all, I am new to these forums, and have owned and used knives all my life. Recently I began to collect them, and have acquired several, made the usual newbie mistakes, and scored some beauties. Question: I bought a Case P 62 fighter, from the "dots" dated around 1987. Does anyone know anything about the history of these? There is little about them on the web. It came with a black "leather" clip boot sheath, which looks to be a replacement. Any help would be appreciated.
 
There are a lot of people who know a ton about Case hanging around in the 'traditionals' forum. Welcome to the forums BTW.

I’ll eco what the posters above me said, the traditional forum is going to be a wealth of information on Case knifes.
