Howdy y'all I thought I would post a proper introduction.

Name is Widerstand, I have been lurking around the forum for a bit now and I just now started posting, I have been heavily involved in two things in life, wilderness self reliance and train hopping.

Oh and I am a huge Becker knife fan, even if I only have one for now.

Here are some photos of my very well loved BK2 that see almost daily use!

Even though you've posted before, I think an introduction deserves a hello from us, so welcome aboard, Widerstand.

As I assume you've already discovered, this is a good forum with some good people, all fans of a very good brand of knives.

But you knew that, since yours looks like it's had some loving itself.:D

Yeah some real nice folks visit the Becker forum here. Yeah, and I am dig the stainless steel hardware and the 'Landshark' style grips. I would have never thought of those two mods if it wasn't for this forum!

Welcome aboard my friend, you made the right decision becoming a member. some great people here with lots of knowledge. it's such an amazing place to hang out, learn and share ideas.

Your BK2 looks like it has some miles, good for you!

Thanks for the welcome guys!

When are we going to have our own version of the "RAT Pack'? ;)

BK-G (Becker Knife Group) anyone? Sounds vaguely familiar. Something! ANYTHING! Get on it dawsonbob! Design it and 'they will come'.

Groan... let me give this some thought, and let's see what Bladite and Ethan think.

We've been building a pretty good community here already, so I'm not sure about any structured things like the RAT PACK, or anything like that.

I'll give it some thought, though, and we'll do something. At least a Becker icon that we can put in our signatures, or... something.

Did I just start something I shouldn't have? ;)

Becker Brigade...etc.

Sorry if my comment made more work for you.

No, not at all. This all started awhile back, and I probably should have developed it a little more back then, but I got busy with some other things.

Note to RABII: don't get all excited... yet.

I already did some work on this months ago. I just need to dig up my files and finalize something. Maybe several somethings.

Stay tuned to your favorite Becker updates.

Welcome Widerstand, I look forward to hearing your traveling stories. Hey, what did you use to stipple the handle of your BK2? Looks good. BD

Thanks! Travel stories! I have tons of those! I also have a Youtube Channel where I have some videos of my train trips.

As for the handle I just touched it with a hot soldering iron a lot of times, doing so increased the traction about 100% on it and the cost was perfect for me, free! ;)

I got layed off from GENERAL ELECTRIC:( but I was a welder and built alot of trains! seen a lot of cool trains and the history. I had to listen :thumbup:to the video again
