Hello leather loving Knife Knuts!
My name is Jay, and I've been on BFC since 2011 sometime. I was mostly a lurker, then a participant (mostly in the traditional section). I have since decided to branch out, and have taken on a craftsman membership here, allowing me to combine two of my loves: leather, and knives.
I am the owner and craftsman behind Yellow Birch Outfitters, which has been around for two years now. This year marks a big turn for me as I move into something I've been working toward since creation. Actual traditional outdoors gear. Old-school, like old LL Bean, or Abercrombie and Fitch (back at the turn of the 20th, CERTAINLY not now).
I've been looking around this part of BFC all day now, and I'm stupid excited to be among you. I can't wait to learn and talk with you all!
I also thought a picture might be in order (what's a post without pictures, right?!) so here's a smattering of my work. Please excuse the lighting, I had to use my shop lights as it's dark here. Also, all of these sheaths are my own personal ones, so they have all ben used, don't mind the marks (you've got to test it first!!)
