Hey everyone,

I have been collecting knives since I was a kid. I recently decided to change my focus from tactical style blades to some more traditional patterns. I have found that I prefer to carry a fixed blade most of the time.

I was recently going through the garage looking for some stuff and stumbled upon my grandfathers 110 and my great grandfathers old timers. Brought back a ton of memories and eventually led me to this forum.

I have already learned a ton from you guys by just lurking and reading. I hope to contribute and will be on the hunt for my first slip joint.

Lastly I am curious if it would be possible to spruce up the old timer with new scales. I know it is not worth much but I feel it deserves some love after constant use from a farmer, carpenter and my tackle box knife.ImageUploadedByTapatalk1424375682.494580.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1424375694.460181.jpg

Thank you,
K.C.

It looks like Gary has already provided you with some great direction related to your re-handle inquiry, so I'll just say hello, and welcome to the Porch!

Welcome!

Beautiful Old Timer and IMO I would keep her "as is". Classic looks with a little family history thrown in

Welcome to the forum KC. I can honestly tell you, there are some great people on here, the information is top-notch, and the classified section is downright deadly!
