Hey All~
Just wanted to introduce my self here.
I am a 35 yearold guy from Portland Or,
Always loved knives since I was a young lad (ok younger lad
fishing w/ my pops.
Recently I found myself stumbling across this site.
Being that I spent some considerable time this past year motorcycle camping and fly fishing around this great state of OREGON I found the need to buy a
great sturdy camp/survival knife.
I looked at the local guys (gerber/benchmade/kershaw) but they just didn't seem to do it for me, until I met the Ka-bar's! (BECKER)
To make a long story short after finding you all here I now have a
lovely Bk9.....
and in the mail a Bk2.....!
in addition to 2 sets of Micarta scales on the way...
and a new Kydex sheath.....
sheesh this could be a slippery slope.
I have been into watches, bicycles, cameras (Photography) motorcycles, tobacco pipes, flyfishing gear, ect
so I know how this slope can get.
Just wanted to say hello and introduce myself.
I'll try NOT to lurk and comment when I feel the time is due.
Thanks for all the great information here the excellent photos.
Hope to post some of my own around here soon.
anyway, thanks.
seems like a great community here.
