I took all this and made myself a strop. I have never used one, but have been curious. I have only used it on one blade so far, but the result was impressive. Cleanly sliced paper towel, no snags.
I just wanted something to help remove the last remnants of a burr, even though I've been pretty good about eliminating it on my stones. I think a few passes on the plain leather is going to help out nicely! We shall see.
