Back in the late 80’s and early 90’s I was buying a few Bucks. I would bike with my buddies to the outdoor store where they had Old Timer, Uncle Henry, Camillus and Buck. Nothing like we have now. Here Is my old Selector. This one a half serrated blade. It’s the only older Buck I’ve kept. I wish I would kept more but they were traded off for fishing rods and later gifted. I gave my little brother an older 105 when he left for the army. He still has it😃. Now in my upper 40’s I’ve come back to Buck these past few years. 5733A9BD-BDAE-4E0C-B0B5-464F48A1516D.jpeg

Buck made 10 different blades for the original Selector. Remember when photographing knives in a display case: OPEN THE &%$*#%@ LID!View attachment 1962225

Nice looking knife, but how about a photo showing the blade—that's what selectors are all about. Do you have several blades?

I will do that. It’s at my cabin now tho. The only blade I have is a partial serated clip. I would love to get more

I actually forgot about those. I never seen one in real life, just online. I wonder why Buck discontinued them. I wonder if they just didn’t sell well or what. I know Case still makes something very similar.

they brought out a new version years ago....but blades wouldn't interchange between old selector and new selector...needless to say new version wasn't very popular and got discontinued pretty quickly.

I’ve seen the Case one but it never appealed to me. I’m curious about it being discontinued too

I thought all were to long to fit the 112 Take-Apart tiguy7. Oh how I wish Buck would sell individual blades for the Take-Apart...I would pony up big time for some super steel drop points! Yep sure would..

I think the Gut Hook is the only old style Selector blade that fits a Take Apart 112. The middle 4 blades in this picture were converted to Selector by me. 1) BG-42, 2) BuckCote Titanium Nitride, 3) ATS-34, and 4) BuckCote Titanium Aluminum Nitride.View attachment 1963329

I've kept my eye open for a Buck Selector (original version like hunterjrg has) but haven't run across one yet. I did pick-up a 1980's Case set, still NIB but a very rough box, several years ago. The Case version I got looked nice but lacked the smoothness of my Buck 110/112 LB knives and my Case Hammerhead/Mako LB knives. OH
