I bought this Puma Stockman when I was 17 years old.
I had a job working in a gun store behind the counter and I used most of a weeks pay to buy it. Since then it has travelled the world with me and I have never needed more for my daily chores.
It often spends months in my drawer but eventually I always come back to carrying it.
It is my oldest edc knife and after owning it for 27 years I would not swop it for anything.
Even with all the custom fixed blades and folders I have I am still proud to pull it out in company when there is cutting to be done......... :)

Hi,

That is a true companion piece! And it looks as good as new. Keep carrying it. You two have many more memories to make together!

I bought one of those in 1984. I really liked it, but later traded it to my brother for another knife.

That is a nice stockman. 27 years is a good long while to hang on to a knife. Good for you, that's the way to create a bond and make it your knife. Keep it.

Great patina on the scales, and :thumbup: to you for taking such good care of it. Looks like it's only had a week or two in the pocket.

thx - cpr
